The Tendersweet Carrot is long and slender. Almost core-less, these have a great sweet flavor. They take around 75 days to mature. Definitely a winner for making bunches with nice long tops.

Carrots are a domesticated form of the wild carrot, Daucus carota, and native to Europe and southwestern Asia. The sweetest carrot around! Sugar sweet, crisp and coreless. Rich orange color is retained during cooking. Roots are 9 to 10-in., with 1 1/2-in. shoulders tapering to a point.

Tendersweet is a late maturing, long carrot that requires the soil be tilled deep. This variety may be grown on a mound or in raised beds to warm the soil because carrots grow faster in warm soil and will provide the deep, loose soil needed for nice straight roots.
